Step 1) Open your image for this exercise we will be using



Step 2) Create a new layer Layer > New

Step 3) Grab you polygonal marquee tool located under your lasso tool.

Step 4) Carefully drag and click around your image. for this tutorial we will be using our chair it should resemble fig 2



Step 5) Once you have dragged around your image and double click to resemble fig 2 with the marching ants. hit Edit > Cut

Step 6) Edit > Paste

Step 7) Grab your eraser tool and clean up anything that you didn't trace out carefully

Step 8) Your image should now look something like fig 3

Step 9) (* Optional) Add your UserId to help prevent image theft... to do this create a new layer. Layer > New then grab your text tool and type your UserId



Step 10) File > save for web. and name the file..

VOILA!! Now wasn't that easy??
